Return & REFUND POLICY

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This Return & Refund Policy explains the conditions under which customers may request cancellation, withdrawal, refunds or other remedies in connection with automotive component restoration and regeneration services provided by REGENTEC.

REGENTEC provides professional automotive component restoration and regeneration services. In most cases, the customer sends their own automotive component to REGENTEC, the component is professionally restored, and the regenerated component is returned to the customer.

This Policy should be read together with the REGENTEC Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Shipping Policy.

REGENTEC primarily provides services involving the restoration and regeneration of customer-owned automotive components.

The service may include, depending on the individual quotation:

  • mechanical restoration;
  • cleaning and corrosion removal;
  • surface preparation;
  • galvanization and zinc plating;
  • chrome and other surface treatments;
  • powder coating;
  • replacement of selected components;
  • machining;
  • assembly;
  • custom finishes;
  • restoration of suspension components;
  • restoration of classic and performance automotive components;
  • other technically feasible restoration procedures.

Because the service is performed on a specific used component supplied by the customer, each project may have individual technical requirements.

If the customer wishes to cancel an order before REGENTEC has commenced the regeneration service, the customer should contact REGENTEC as soon as possible.

Where the customer has a statutory right to withdraw and the withdrawal requirements are satisfied, REGENTEC will refund payments in accordance with applicable law.

Where no statutory right of withdrawal applies, cancellation and refund conditions will depend on the individual quotation and the stage of the service.

If the customer has already sent their component to REGENTEC, cancellation may also involve the cost of returning the component to the customer, where such cost is legally chargeable and has been properly disclosed.

Where applicable, a consumer entering into a distance contract for a service generally has a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal without giving a reason. For service contracts, the withdrawal period generally begins on the day the contract is concluded.

However, this right is subject to statutory exceptions and conditions.

If the consumer expressly requests that REGENTEC begin performing the service before the expiry of the withdrawal period, the consumer may be required to pay for the part of the service already performed if they subsequently withdraw.

If REGENTEC fully performs the service with the consumer’s prior express consent and the consumer has been informed that they will lose their right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, the statutory right of withdrawal may no longer apply.

REGENTEC will provide any legally required information and obtain the appropriate consent before commencing a service where this is necessary.

Some REGENTEC services are individually configured according to the customer’s requirements.

These may include:

  • custom colours;
  • specific coatings;
  • chrome finishes;
  • non-standard restoration procedures;
  • individually specified technical work;
  • restoration of rare or classic components;
  • special surface treatments.

Where applicable under consumer law, services or goods prepared according to an individual customer’s specifications may fall within statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal.

Whether an exception applies will depend on the specific service and the circumstances of the individual order.

Where a refund is legally due, REGENTEC will process the refund in accordance with applicable law.

Where a consumer validly withdraws from a distance contract, refunds will generally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless another method has been agreed with the consumer and does not result in additional costs to the consumer.

Where a service has already commenced following the customer’s express request, the amount refunded may be reduced by the value of the service already performed, where permitted by applicable law.

Where a service has been fully performed under circumstances in which the statutory right of withdrawal has been validly excluded, no refund will be available on the basis of the statutory withdrawal right.

Nothing in this Policy limits mandatory statutory consumer rights.

After receiving a customer’s component, REGENTEC may perform a technical assessment.

In some cases, the component may be found unsuitable for safe or reliable regeneration.

This may occur because of:

  • excessive corrosion;
  • cracks;
  • structural damage;
  • deformation;
  • excessive wear;
  • previous modifications;
  • missing or damaged components;
  • technical limitations;
  • lack of economically or technically viable restoration options.

If the service cannot be performed, REGENTEC will inform the customer.

Where the customer has already paid for a service that cannot be performed, any refund due will be determined according to the circumstances of the order and applicable law.

Where the component needs to be returned, return shipping costs may apply where these costs have been disclosed and are legally chargeable.

During the technical inspection or regeneration process, REGENTEC may discover damage or wear that was not visible from photographs or the information initially provided by the customer.

If additional chargeable work is required, REGENTEC will normally contact the customer before performing such work.

If the customer does not approve the additional work, REGENTEC may return the component in its existing condition.

Any applicable return shipping or inspection costs will be handled according to the individual quotation or applicable law.

A component sent to REGENTEC for regeneration remains the property of the customer.

If an order is cancelled, withdrawn from, or cannot be completed, the component may be returned to the customer.

The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address.

Additional costs may arise where:

  • an incorrect address was provided;
  • the shipment is refused;
  • the shipment is not collected;
  • customs documentation is incomplete;
  • additional delivery attempts are required;
  • the parcel is returned to REGENTEC.

Such costs will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and mandatory law.

REGENTEC provides services to customers located in Poland and internationally.

Where a customer’s component is sent to REGENTEC from a country outside the European Union customs territory, customs formalities may be required when the component enters the EU.

Depending on the circumstances, a suitable customs procedure may be available for goods temporarily exported or imported for processing or repair. For example, EU customs legislation provides an outward processing procedure for EU goods temporarily exported from the EU customs territory for processing and subsequent re-importation. The appropriate procedure depends on the specific circumstances and customs requirements.

For international shipments requiring customs formalities, both the customer and REGENTEC must cooperate and exchange the information and documentation reasonably required to complete the relevant customs procedures.

This cooperation may include, where applicable:

  • accurate description of the component;
  • part numbers;
  • vehicle information;
  • declared value;
  • proof of ownership;
  • information concerning the purpose of shipment;
  • information confirming that the component is being sent for restoration or processing;
  • customs declarations;
  • invoices or pro forma documents;
  • information concerning the original export and subsequent return;
  • customs reference numbers or other documentation.

The customer is responsible for providing REGENTEC with accurate information about the component and its origin.

REGENTEC will provide information reasonably available to it concerning the regeneration service, processing and return shipment.

Both parties should cooperate promptly where customs authorities request additional information.

Failure by either party to provide required information may result in customs delays, additional costs, storage charges, return of the shipment or other consequences.

For international shipments, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees or other charges may apply depending on the destination country and the customs procedure used.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, charges imposed by the customer’s country or its customs authorities are the customer’s responsibility.

REGENTEC is not responsible for charges resulting from incorrect information supplied by the customer, failure to provide required documentation, or failure to comply with the customs requirements of the destination or origin country.

Where a customs procedure requires information or action from both parties, REGENTEC and the customer agree to cooperate in good faith to facilitate the correct processing of the shipment.

Customs clearance is performed by the relevant customs authorities and may be outside REGENTEC’s control.

REGENTEC is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • customs inspections;
  • incomplete documentation;
  • incorrect customs declarations;
  • missing information;
  • customs authority decisions;
  • duties or taxes not paid by the responsible party;
  • carrier or customs broker delays.

REGENTEC will make reasonable efforts to provide information and documentation relating to the regeneration service when required.

The customer is responsible for properly packaging the component when sending it to REGENTEC.

REGENTEC is not responsible for damage or loss occurring during the inbound shipment arranged by the customer, subject to mandatory statutory rights.

Customers are encouraged to use appropriate packaging and shipping insurance.

When REGENTEC arranges return shipping, the shipment may be subject to the carrier’s applicable terms and conditions.

If a component is damaged or lost during return transportation, REGENTEC will cooperate with the customer and, where applicable, the carrier to investigate and process the claim.

A complaint concerning the quality or conformity of a completed regeneration service should be submitted to:

contact@regentec.eu

The complaint should include, where possible:

  • customer name;
  • order or quotation number;
  • description of the problem;
  • photographs of the component;
  • information concerning installation and use;
  • any relevant supporting documentation.

REGENTEC may request that the component be returned for inspection where necessary to assess the complaint.

The customer should not modify, disassemble or repair the component before contacting REGENTEC if doing so could affect the assessment of the complaint, unless immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety.

Where applicable, customers retain their statutory rights relating to conformity, defects and other mandatory remedies under applicable law.

If REGENTEC provides a separate commercial warranty for a particular service or component, the conditions of that warranty will be communicated separately.

A commercial warranty does not exclude or reduce mandatory statutory consumer rights.

A refund or warranty claim may not be available where the issue results from:

  • incorrect installation;
  • improper use;
  • use outside the intended purpose;
  • modification by a third party;
  • mechanical damage occurring after delivery;
  • failure to follow installation instructions;
  • damage caused by another defective vehicle component;
  • normal wear and tear where legally applicable.

This does not affect mandatory statutory rights.

Where a refund is legally due, REGENTEC will process it within the period required by applicable law.

For a valid consumer withdrawal, the trader generally has 14 days from receiving the consumer’s withdrawal statement to refund payments, although the trader may in certain circumstances withhold the refund until the returned item is received or proof of return is provided.

The exact timing may therefore depend on the nature of the service, the return of the customer’s component and the applicable statutory requirements.

This Return & Refund Policy applies to services purchased directly from REGENTEC.

Products displayed on the REGENTEC website through the eBay integration are sold through eBay.

Returns, refunds and complaints concerning products purchased through eBay are governed by the applicable eBay terms, policies and the individual eBay listing.

Customers purchasing through eBay should use the eBay platform and applicable eBay procedures for matters relating to those purchases.
